As a team, the men finished in fourth place and nearly finished right behind DePauw University, the victors.

Seniors Michael Foerster (Ferdinand, Ind./Forest Park) and Kyle Murray (Morgantown, Ind./Indian Creek) earned a runner-up finish after running a time of 28:57 as a tandem. They finished just 15 seconds behind the winners from Wabash College.

Senior Thomas Jeschke (Indianapolis, Ind./Decatur Central) and sophomore Nick Sefton (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) earned a seventh-place finish with a time of 29:40, while junior Michael Wieser (Guilford, Ind./East Central) and sophomore Derek Harris (McCordsville, Ind./Scecina Memorial) earned an 18th-place finish.

Senior Ryan Strom (Sellersburg, Ind./Silver Creek) and junior Dean Rothenberger (Mooresville, Ind./Mooresville) teamed for a 29th-place finish, while freshman Emile Conde (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) and senior Alan Nordholt (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) finished in 31st place.

"We easily could have gone anywhere between second and fourth," said head coach Dave Roberts. "We needed a little more help on the third scoring pair, but we ran very well overall."

The women's team earned a fifth-place finish in the event.

Juniors Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) and Emily Miller (Eaton, Ind./Delta) teamed for an 11th-place finish with a time of 24:49. Sophomores Laura Neuman (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) and Marissa Gill (Slidell, La./Slidell) turned in a 24th-place finish, while freshman Brittany Gillespie (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) and senior Brooke Meier (Brookville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in 27th place.

Senior Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) and sophomore Audra Gehlhausen (Bristow, Ind./Perry Central) finished in 30th place, while freshman Lauren Kissel (Edgewood, Ky./Saint Henry) and Kristen Bogue (Milton, Ind./Cambridge City Lincoln) finished in 32nd place.
