INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian University women's tennis team continued its dominance as the Knights won their fifth straight match, 9-0, over the University of St. Francis (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon at the Marian University Tennis Courts.
 
Freshman Paola Usina (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) continued her unbeaten string as she won at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4, to move to 6-0 on the season and 4-0 in MCC matches. She teamed with freshman Tiffany Schendel (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) at No. 1 doubles for an 8-3 win.
 
Schendel also won her match at No. 3 singles in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1, to improve to 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in the MCC.
 
Junior Dana Reynolds (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) won her match at No. 2 singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, to improve to 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in the MCC. She teamed with sophomore Alyson O'Conner (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) at No. 2 doubles for an 8-3 victory.
 
O'Conner won her match at No. 5 singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, to improve to 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in the MCC.
 
Sophomore Maria Berry (Madison, Ind./Shawe Memorial) earned the victory at No. 4 singles in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, to improve to 5-2 on the campaign and 3-1 in the MCC. She also teamed with freshman Amy Nocton (Williamsburg, Ind./Northeastern) for an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles.
 
Junior Alyssa Richard (Madison, Ind./Shawe Memorial) closed out the shutout with a straight-set victory at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-1, to improve to 5-2 on the season and 2-2 in MCC play.
 
Freshmen Hannah Ruegsegger (Greenfield, Ind./Mt. Vernon) and Hillary Carpenter (Danville, Ind./Danville) earned their first career collegiate victories in exhibition action. Ruegsegger won her match, 7-5, 3-6, 10-4, while Carpenter was a straight-sets winner, 6-0, 6-3.
 
The Knights head to Huntington University on Tuesday afternoon for a Mid-Central College Conference match against the Foresters. First serve is slated for 3 p.m.
