BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Marian University women's cross country team turned in a fifth-place performance at the 2009 Midwest Classic in Bourbonnais, Ill., on Friday afternoon.
Junior
Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) was the Knights' top finisher after she turned in a 17th-place performance. Shepherd finished with a time of 20:40.31.

Emily Miller (Eaton, Ind./Delta) finished in 28th place with a time of 22:04.40, while sophomore
Laura Neuman (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) finished in 31st place with a time of 22:32.99.
Senior
Brooke Meier (Brookville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) earned a 33rd place finish with a time of 23:07.31, while sophomore
Marissa Gill (Slidell, La./Slidell) finished in 35th place with a time of 23:49.58.
Freshman
Brittany Gillespie (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) finished in 36th place with a time of 23:58.00, while senior
Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in 38th place with a time of 24:27.55.
Sophomore
Audra Gehlhausen (Bristow, Ind./Perry Central) turned in a time of 24:28.23, freshman
Kristen Bogue (Milton, Ind./Cambridge City Lincoln) finished in 25:15.64, and freshman
Lauren Kissel (Edgewood, Ky./Saint Henry) ran a 29:09.56 for the non-scoring Knights.
The Knights head to the National Catholic Championships on Friday in South Bend, Ind.
