Freshman Will Dixon was eliminated, but had a tough draw at the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional.
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Marian University men's tennis team had three of its student-athletes compete at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional Championships on Thursday. However, a tough draw led to the elimination of the Knights from the tournament.

Freshman Will Dixon (Jeffersonville, Ind./Our Lady of Providence) fell in his first round match to Aaron Niemiec of Cedarville University in straight sets, 1-6, 3-6, and dropped his consolation match in straight sets, 4-6, 0-6.

Junior Brad Mustin (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) and freshman Andrew Voss (West Lafayette, Ind./West Lafayette) dropped their first round match in the doubles championship, 6-8, to Bedon and Reed of Taylor University, the No. 3 seed.

The Knights head to DePauw University on Tuesday to battle the Tigers at 4:30 p.m.
