SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Marian University women's cross country team earned a 30th-place finish at the 2009 National Catholic Championships in South Bend, Ind., on Friday.

Junior Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) led the Knights with a 109th-place finish out of 260 runners with a time of 20:41.8.

Junior Emily Miller (Eaton, Ind./Delta) earned a 174th-place finish with a time of 21:46.0, while sophomore Laura Neuman (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) finished in 194th place with a time of 22:11.2.

Sophomore Marissa Gill (Slidell, La./Slidell) finished in 204th place with a time of 22:27.1, while sophomore Audra Gehlhausen (Bristow, Ind./Perry Central) finished with a time of 23:48.8. Senior Brooke Meier (Brookville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in a time of 2:46.3, while senior Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished the race in a time of 25:16.0

The Knights head to Chicago, Ill., for the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday.
