The Knights fell behind 1-2 after the doubles competition as sophomore
Maria Berry (Madison, Ind./Shawe Memorial) and freshman
Amy Nocton (Williamsburg, Ind./Northeastern) picked up the lone win with an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles. Berry fell at No. 4 singles, 5-7, 2-6
Freshman
Paola Usina (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) won her singles match in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), but fell at No. 1 doubles with freshman
Tiffany Schendel (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead), 3-8. Schendel also dropped her match at No. 3 singles, 0-6, 1-6.
Sophomore
Alyson O'Conner (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) won her match at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-0, but fell at No. 2 doubles with teammate junior
Dana Reynolds (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon), 3-8. Reynolds also lost her match in three sets, 1-6, 6-3, 2-6.
Junior
Alyssa Richard (Madison, Ind./Shawe Memorial) fell at No. 6 singles, 2-6, 0-6, to ensure the 6-3 Taylor victory.
The Knights are now 8-2 on the season and 4-2 in MCC play.
They play host to Goshen College on Saturday at 11 a.m., at the Marian University Tennic Courts.
