CHICAGO - The Marian University women's cross country team earned a 28th-place finish at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago on Saturday.
 
Junior Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) was the team's high finisher after she earned a 130th-place finish out of 378 runners with a time of 20:17.
 
Junior Emily Miller (Eaton, Ind./Delta) earned a 186th-place finish with a time of 20:57, while senior Brooke Meier (Brookville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in a time of 21:49.
 
Sophomore Laura Neuman (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) finished in a time of 21:58, while sophomore Audra Gehlhausen (Bristow, Ind./Perry Central) ran a time of 22:34.
 
Freshman Brittany Gillespie (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) finished in a time of 24:41, while sophomore Marisela Garcia (Anderson, Ind./Guerin Catholic) finished in 24:55. Freshman Kristen Bogue (Milton, Ind./Cambridge City Lincoln) was 13 seconds behind Garcia with a time of 25:08.
 
The Knights head to the Eagle Invitational in Lisle, Ill., on Saturday.
