MARION, Ind. - After two days indoors, the Marian University women's tennis team concluded the fall season with the final round of the Mid-Central College Conference Tournament at Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday.
 
The Knights earned a third-place finish in the MCC Tournament after they notched 10 points. IWU and Taylor finished 1-2 with 21 and 18 points, respectively.
 
Freshman and No. 1-seeded Paola Usina (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) fell in the championship match at No. 1 singles, 1-6, 1-6, to Germania Bedon of Taylor University.
 
Sophomore and No. 3-seeded Alyson O'Conner (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon), who was playing in her second straight MCC final, fell at No. 5 singles, 2-6, 1-6, to Courtney Kooyers of Indiana Wesleyan University.
 
Marian University had two of its student-athletes honored as All-Conference selections, while second-year head coach Cassie Lomison was named Mid-Central College Conference Coach of the Year.
 
Usina, who set the school record for single season singles wins (18), was named All-Conference, while junior Dana Reynolds (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) was also named All-Conference.
 
The Knights concluded the fall season with an 11-2 overall record and a 6-2 mark in MCC play.
