LISLE, Ill. - The Marian University women's cross country team earned a sixth-place finish out of 11 teams at the 2009 Eagle Invitational over the weekend.
 
Junior Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) earned the Knights' top finish with a time of 24:45.17, which was good enough for a 21st-place finish.
 
Junior Emily Miller (Eaton, Ind./Delta) earned a 30th-place finish with a time of 25:23.17, while senior Brooke Meier (Brookville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in 36th place with a time of 25:32.92.
 
Sophomore Laura Neuman (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) earned a 56th-place finish with a time of 26:46.39, while sophomore Audra Gehlhausen (Bristow, Ind./Perry Central) finished in 73rd place with a time of 27:27.70. Senior Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished with a time of 28:08.72, while freshman Brittany Gillespie (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) finished with a time of 29:04.44.
 
Sophomore Marisela Garcia (Anderson, Ind./Guerin Catholic) finished with a time of 30:18.48, while freshman Lauren Kissel (Edgewood, Ky./Saint Henry) finished in 30:41.76.
 
The Knights head to the Evansville Invitational on Saturday in Evansville, Ind.
