BURKESVILLE, Ky. - The Marian University men's golf team sits in fourth place after round one of the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational at Dale Hollow State Park in Burkesville, Ky., on Tuesday.
The Knights sit behind Mid-South Conference members Trevecca Nazarene University (300), The University of the Cumberlands (300), and host Lindsey Wilson College (303). The Knights carded an 18-hole total of 307 to sit four strokes back of third place.
Freshman
Robbi Koors (Greensburg, Ind./Greensburg) led the Knights on day one as he sits in a tie for fifth place. He carded a two-over-par 74 (39-35) to sit tied for fifth going in to day two.
Sophomore
Sean Jones (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) sits in a tie for 11th place after he carded a four-over-par 76 (39-37) in the first round.
Freshman
Preston Smith (Anderson, Ind./Anderson) sits tied for 20th after he carded a 78 (38-40), while freshman
Trey Pfund (Clarksville, Ind./Our Lady of Providence) is tied for 30th place after he carded a 79 (38-41).
Senior
Luke Weber (North Vernon, Ind./Jennings County) rounded out the Knights lineup on day one after he carded an 81 (39-42).
The Knights get back on the links on Wednesday in Burkesville, Ky., for the final round.
