LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Marian University women's cross country team earned three top 50 finishes out of 181 runners to finish in 11th place at the 2009 Southeastern Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday.
Junior
Emily Miller (Eaton, Ind./Delta) led the Knights with a 38th-place finish after she turned in a time of 20:26.56.
Junior
Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) earned a 48th-place finish with a time of 20:46.36, while senior
Brooke Meier (Brookville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in 50th place with a time of 20:48.37.
Sophomore
Audra Gehlhausen (Bristow, Ind./Perry Central) turned in an 89th-place finish with a time of 21:45.52, while sophomore
Laura Neuman (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) finished in 95th place with a time of 21:53.90.
Freshman
Brittany Gillespie (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) finished with a time of 23:16.71, while senior
Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in 23:40.53. Sophomore
Marisela Garcia (Noblesville, Ind./Guerin Catholic) ran a time of 24:52.16, while freshman
Lauren Kissel finished with a time of 25:36.53.
The Knights head to the Mid-Central College Conference Championships in Fort Wayne, Ind., on November 7.
