FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Marian University women's cross country team earned a seventh-place finish at the 2009 Mid-Central College Conference Championships in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Saturday morning.

Junior Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) led the Knights after she finished in 22nd place with a time of 20:26.

Junior Emily Miller (Eaton, Ind./Delta) finished in 27th place with a time of 20:48, while senior Brooke Meier (Brookville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in 40th place with a time of 21:58.

Sophomore Laura Neuman (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) finished in 46th place with a time of 22:29, while sophomore Audra Gehlhausen (Bristow, Ind./Perry Central) finished in 52nd place with a time of 23:10.

Freshman Brittany Gillespie (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) finished in 57th place with a time of 24:21, while senior Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) finished in 58th place with a time of 24:49. Freshman Lauren Kissel (Edgewood, Ky./Saint Henry) finished with a time of 27:58.
