WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Marian University women's basketball team, which continues to suffer injury woes, fell in its fourth straight game, 68-50, to Calvin College in the opening game of the Wilmington College Tip-Off Classic in Wilmington, Ohio on Friday night.
The Knights are 0-4 on the season and will take on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, which fell 61-37 to host Wilmington, on Saturday afternoon in the consolation game.
The Knights had two players finish in double figures, but they shot just 38 percent (18-for-48) from the field including just 1-for-10 from three-point range.
Senior
Kristin Houck (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) led the Knights with 16 points, while freshman
Amie Larkins (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) tallied 10 points. Junior
Anjellica Rospond (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, while senior
Molly Lauck (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) had a team-high three assists.
The Knights and Fighting Engineers will battle at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
