GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Marian University men's basketball team traveled to Kuyper College on Saturday afternoon and picked up an 85-63 victory over the Cougars on the back end of a women's/men's doubleheader in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Knights improved to 4-3 on the season while the Cougars dropped to 2-7 in 2009-10.

Junior Jordan Tucker (Kirklin, Ind./Clinton Central) shot 53 percent (10-for-19) from the field including five three-pointers to lead the Knights with a season-high 33 points. He was also 8-for-11 from the free throw line. He also added six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Junior Brandon Malone (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) notched his second career double-double after he scored 10 points and grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds. he also handed out two assists and had three steals.

Sophomore Alex Sylvester (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) added 14 points and four rebounds, while sophomore Jameson Wheeler (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) added 11 points and two assists.

The Knights head to Grace College for an Mid-Central College Conference matchup on Tuesday night. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m., and the game can be heard LIVE at www.muknights.com.
