INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian University women's cross country team had one of its student-athletes honored as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the 2009 season.
Senior
Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Ind./Oldenburg Academy) was named a 2009 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete for her academic prowess.
Kuntz earned the honor for the second time in her career as a cross country runner and third time overall. She was also named a Scholar-Athlete in the sport of track and field.
The award is given to student-athletes who have amassed a 3.5 cumulative GPA and achieved junior standing.
