CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Marian University men's basketball team fell to the Austin Peay State University Governors, 85-55, in exhibition play on Saturday night in Dave Clark Arena in Clarksville, Tenn.
 
Freshman Mac Fiely (Greenville, Ohio/Greenville) led the Knights with 12 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Matt Dickerson (Evansville, Ind./Mater Dei) tallied a team-high 15 points and grabbed four rebounds.
 
The Knights shot just 35 percent (20-for-58) for the game and were just 5-for-20 from three-point range.
 
The exhibition contest was the second time the two teams have hooked up as they met on Dec. 28, 2006. The Governors also won that matchup by an 83-50 score.
 
The Knights return home to the Physical Education Center on Friday and Saturday when they host the Marian University Holiday Tournament. The Knights will take on Culver-Stockton College on Friday night at 6 p.m., while Davenport University and Brescia University will do battle at 8 p.m. The losers of each game will play at 1 p.m. on Saturday, while the winners will contest the title game at 3 p.m.
