The Knights football team added six transfers for next season.
INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head football coach Ted Karras Jr., is proud to announce the addition of six transfers for the 2010 season. Coach Karras is excited these student-athletes are joining the Marian University football family. They all bring various skills to the program and the coaching staff is anxious to see how they develop and fit into the program.
 
Jovan McCray is a 6'2", 220-pound running back and strong safety from Indiana State University. McCray was also an All-District and All-Region wrestler at Highland Springs High School in Richmond, Va.
 
Darnell King, a 5'9" 173-pound defensive back, comes to the Knights from Harper College in Palatine, Ill. At Harper College, King received All-Conference Honorable Mention. King was also named to the All-Conference Academic Team at North Chicago Community High School lettering in football, basketball, and track.
 
Oluwatosin Ikudabo is a 6'0", 180-pound wide receiver and return specialist from University of Indianapolis. At South Side High School in Fort Wayne, Ind., Ikudabo was All-Conference and All-Area. He was also listed in the Fantastic 50 and as an Indiana All-Star.
 
Mike Shepard transfers to Marian University from Indiana University. In addition to football, the 5'7", 180-pound defensive back was a member of the Varsity track team at Roncalli High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
 
Adam Wiese is a 6'0", 185-pound quarterback from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., where he earned All-Conference in 2009 and was named the First Round Offensive MVP in the NAIA Football Championship Series. Wiese was also All-Conference, All-State Honorable Mention, and the MVP of the North-South All-Star game.
 
Clifford Brown, a 5'7" 155-pound running back from Holly Springs, Miss., transfers to Marian University from Delta State University. He was named All-District and All-Region at Holly Springs High School and set a school record in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.70.
 
These transfers join a Knights team that has achieved two winning seasons (7-4 in 2008 and 6-5 in 2009) in their three seasons of competition.
