ANDERSON, Ind. - The Marian University men's track & field team traveled to Anderson, Ind. on Saturday to compete in the Anderson University Raven Invitational. The invitational was unscored.
Senior
Thomas Jeschke (Indianapolis, Ind./Decatur Central) finished first-place in 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:46.95. Jeschke became the second Knight to qualify for the NAIA Indoor National Championships in March.
Freshman
Taylor Maxey (Tipton, Ind./Tipton), who has previously qualified for the championships in the 60-meter hurdles, won the 55-meter hurdles (8.04) and tied for first-place in the high jump with a mark of 1.90m.
Other first-place finishes on the day went to senior
Michael Foerster (Ferdinand, Ind./Forest Park) in the mile (4:24.22) and junior
Jamell Dodd (Indianapolis, Ind./Vincennes) in the long jump with a leap of 6.32 meters.
Sophomore
Robert Alderman (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia) broke the Marian University school record in the shot put with his 14.88-meter throw, which was good enough for a fourth-place finish in the meet.
The Knights are back in action Saturday when they travel to West Lafayette, Ind. for the Purdue Invitational.
