ANDERSON, Ind. - The Marian University women's track & field team traveled to Anderson, Ind. to compete in the Anderson University Raven Invitational on Saturday. The invitational was unscored.

A trio of freshmen led the Knights in the meet, including Jaymee Schambers (Milton, Ind./Cambridge City Lincoln) who finished first in the long jump with a leap of 4.73 meters. She was also part of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed fourth with a time of 4:24.91. She also finished fifth in the 55-meter dash (8.08) and eighth in the 200-meter dash (28.91).

Freshman Kristen Bogue (Milton, Ind./Cambridge City Lincoln) also competed on the fourth-place 4x400 relay team and was also a part of the second-place 4x200-meter relay team (1:53.73). She also notched a fourth-place finish in the high jump (1.50m) and ninth in the 400-meter dash (1:05.24). Freshman Amy Walker (Frankfort, Ind./Clinton Central) contributed to the finishes of the 4x200 and 4x400-meter relay teams and finished sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.08.

Senior Lyndy Errett (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville) finished fourth in the shot put (11.05m) and not far behind her was freshman Erin Bateman (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) with a sixth-place finish (9.84m).

The Knights will travel to West Lafayette, Ind. on Saturday for the Purdue Invitational.
