INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University Head Bowling Coach Chad Hardin is proud to announce the fifth signee to join the inaugural class of Knights bowling.

Lucas Ewing, a right-handed bowler from Rochester, Ind., will join the Knights next season. Ewing will graduate from Rochester Community High School in June and was a four-year member of the Varsity bowling team.

Coach Hardin says, "I am thrilled to add Lucas to our bowling program. He is a very accomplished bowler, winning several titles as a team and as an individual. He will be a very good collegiate bowler."

Ewing was selected as INUSBC Co-Bowler of the Year in 2009 and posted a sanctioned high-average of 218, with a high-series of 754. As team captain, he led his team to a sectional title, semi-state title, and a state finals appearance during his senior year.

In his junior year, he led his team to a sectional and regional title, as well as a semi-state appearance. He also competed in the state finals as an individual.

As a sophomore, his team won regionals and went on to compete at semi-state.

During his freshman campaign, Ewing appeared at semi-state in both the team and individual competition.

He is also a two-time Indiana All-Star, who qualified for the Masters and Queens Finals twice and has competed in the USBC Junior Gold Championships in each of the past two years.
