COLUMBIA, Ky. - Several members of the 12-time collegiate track cycling national champions were in Columbia, Ky., for the Lindsey Wilson Weekend on Saturday. It turned out to be a pretty good Saturday for the Knights.
Sophomore
Sinead Miller (South Park, Pa./South Park) swept both the time trial and road race events on Saturday with her teammates turning in strong performances. Freshman
Anna Young (Syracuse, N.Y./Madison West) earned a third-place finish followed by senior
Rebecca Finley (Des Moines, Iowa/Home-schooled) in fourth place. Freshman
Jackie Kurth (Palm City, Fla./Martin County) earned a sixth-place finish to score valuable team points for the Knights in the MWCCC standings.
Miller continued her strong start to the season. The wins were her second and third of the road season.
On the men's side, sophomore
Rob Bush (Louisville, Ky./Highlands Latin) earned a team-best second-place performance as a select few men's riders were in competition.
The Knights will compete in the criterium race on Sunday in Columbia, Ky., before continuing South for spring training.
