INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head men's and women's bowling coach Chad Hardin is proud to announce another commitment for the inaugural season of Knights bowling.
 
Melissa Mecagni, who will graduate from O'Fallon Township High School this spring, signed with Marian University as part of the inaugural class earlier this week.
 
Mecagni finished 21st in her sectional with a 183 average this season and also finished with a 191 average at the Kahok Girls Team Challenge. She finished fifth at the Abe Lincoln Invitational with a 194 average and finished 39th at the Viking Invitational with a 189.66 average.
 
She was a Metro East Men's 700 Club Top 24 invite who finished seventh and earned the high series scratch in the Southwestern Illinois Conference. She is a four-time All-Conference selection.
 
Her career-high average came in her junior year when she averaged 191 and finished 38th in the state with a 194.6 average.
 
The Knights open their inaugural season this fall.
