INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head men's and women's bowling coach Chad Hardin is proud to announce the commitments of a trio of ladies from Plainfield North High School in Illinois for the inaugural season of Knights bowling.
 
Meghan Hardy, who will graduate this spring, is a two-time state qualifier and a three-year varsity starter. She was a two-time All-Conference selection and led the team to two sectional championships. She averaged a 186 during her senior year and tallied a 1260 series at sectionals this season. She has 63 games with a 200 or higher during her career and 13 600 or more series' during her career. Her high game is a 257 during her high school career. She is a member of the National Honor Society, French Club National Honor Society, and a four-year member of the high honor roll.
 
Samantha Grimes, who will graduate this spring, is a three-year varsity starter who was named Most Valuable Bowler this season. She was named All-Conference as a senior and led her team to two sectional championships. She held a 196 average during her senior season and had a 713 series. She has tallied a school record 85 200+ games and a school record 23 600+ games during her career. She is a member of the student council, the National Honor Society, the German Club National Honor Society and earned high honor roll in each of her four years.
 
Lanie Bledsoe, who will graduate this spring, was the anchor bowler on her team during her senior season. She finished with a 184 average and had 29 200+ games as a senior. Her season-high was a 256 and she also had seven 600+ series' as a senior. She notched a 1212 at sectionals this season. She is a member of the student council as an officer who earned honor roll during each of her four years. She is also a member of the French Club.
 
The trio will begin competition as part of the inaugural season of Marian University bowling this fall.
