INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head men's and women's bowling coach
Chad Hardin is proud to announce the commitment of
Jordan Gray for the inaugural season of Knights bowling.
Gray, who will graduate from Columbus North High School this spring, was named All-State honorable mention as a senior and carries a 222 current high average. This season he was selected to the All-Conference team and was an Academic All-State team selection. He was also named a 2010 Junior Olympic Gold qualifier after a stellar senior campaign.
"I am very excited to add Jordan to our program," said Hardin. "He comes from a family of bowlers and is also a tremendous athlete as well. He is planning on playing baseball here and I am sure he will excel at that as well as bowling and in the classroom."
Last season, he was named All-State first team and was a member of the semi-state championship team that also won its sectional. An All-Conference selection, Gray led the conference with the high average and was the runner-up in doubles at the 2009 state tournament.
In addition to his bowling credentials, Gray is a three-year starter for the Columbus North baseball team and, as a junior, led the team in batting average, at-bats, hits and runs. He was the only player on the team to play in every inning last season.
He is also looking to compete for a place on the Knights baseball team when he arrives this fall.
Gray joins a program on the rise as Coach Hardin has surpassed his goals for the inaugural season and is currently getting ready to begin competition in the fall.
