MARION, Ind. - The Marian University women's track and field team traveled to Marion, Ind., on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Little State meet. The team posted an 18th-place finish of the 19 teams that competed.

Freshman Jaymee Schambers led the way for the Knights with an eighth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles. Schambers posted a career-best time of 15.62.

Another eighth place finish came from the 4x400 relay team of Schambers, freshman Amy Walker, sophomore Nicole Svorinic, and junior Patrice Fernandes. The team finished with a time of 51.23.

Fernandes also earned a 10^th place finish for the Knights in the 100 meters, with a time of 12.72 and junior Adrienne Shepherd ran the 1,500 meters in 5:09.44, which was good enough for a 10th-place finish.

The Knights will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., on Friday to compete in the Rose Hulman Twilight.
