ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Marian University men's golf team was able to endure a tough day at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio to hang on for a third-place finish at the 2010 Malone University Spring Classic.
Senior
Luke Weber led the Knights with a fifth-place finish as he carded a 36-hole total of 150 (72-78). Weber was tied for the lead after the first day of competition.
Sophomore
Preston Smith earned a 14th-place finish after he tallied a second round 78 to finish with a 153 (75-78). Sophomore
Sean Jones earned a tie for 17th place after he carded a second round 77 to finish with a 155 (78-77), while freshman
Robbi Koors earned a tie for 22nd place with a second round 79 to finish with a 156 (77-79).
Freshman
Mac Fiely rounded out the Knights lineup after he shot a second round 79 to finish with a 159 (80-79) for the Knights.
The Knights head to the Cougar Invitational at Cobblestone and Noble Hawk in Kendallville, Ind., on Tuesday in preparation for next Monday and Tuesday's Mid-Central College Conference Tournament in Kendallville, Ind.
