INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head men's and women's bowling coach
Chad Hardin is proud to announce the commitment of
Kelli Marx for the inaugural season of Knights bowling.
Marx, who will graduate from Lake Central High School this spring, signed to compete with Marian University last week.
"I am very excited to add Kelli to our bowling program," said Hardin. "She comes from an excellent high school program and has bowled in several high pressure situations. That kind of experience will really benefit her at the collegiate level."
She was a member of the 2007 and 2009 Indiana High School Bowling State Champions and was a 2009 team regional champion. She was an individual regional, sectional and semi-state qualifier who was a member of the two-time sectional championship team. She was named All-Conference on two occasions and was part of a team that won the Westlake Conference title all four of her years and won the NWI Baker Challenge on three occasions.
She has bowled for 13 years and holds an average of 193. She also holds a two-game high series of 512 and bowled a 279 as her career-high game. She earned third place at the 2009 NWI Post Tribune Preseason Bowl O'Rama individual competition and was a member of a team which won that event on two occasions.
Marx and the Knights will begin competition this fall in their inaugural season.
