INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head women's basketball coach Todd Bacon is proud to announce the commitment of rising junior Misty Wynn for the 2010-11 season.

Wynn recently completed a transfer from Vincennes University and signed with the MCC Tournament finalists on Friday afternoon at the Physical Education Center.

Wynn, a 5-10 forward from Boonville, Ind., transferred from Vincennes University where she spent on season and served as team captain. During her one year, she averaged six points and three rebounds per game and shot 54 percent from the field.

"Misty has a high basketball IQ combined with an excellent work ethic," said Bacon. "She will fit in great with our style of play."

A four-year letter winner at Boonville High School, Wynn closed her high school career averaging 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and just over two steals per game as a senior and shot 38 percent from three-point range. She finished her career ranked 10th in scoring with 753 career points and seventh in assists with 243.

She was a 2007 IBCA Senior Top 40 workout pick and was a three-time IBCA Top 100 selection. She earned Academic All-State honors, was a three-time All-Conference selection and was the 2007 team Most Valuable Player.

Wynn becomes the second athlete to commit to the Knights, who finished with a 19-14 record last season and made their first trip to the MCC Tournament final.
