KENDALLVILLE, Ind. - The Marian University men's golf team sits in second place after the first 36 holes of the 2010 Mid-Central College Conference Tournament at Cobblestone Golf Course in Kendallville, Ind., on Monday.
 
The Knights currently sit three strokes back of leader Indiana Wesleyan after they shot a 36-hole total of 591 (296-295), while IWU finished day one with a 588 (291-297).
 
MU has a 10-shot lead over Huntington University as they look to close in on IWU over the final 18 holes.
 
Freshman Trey Pfund is the clubhouse leader after two rounds of the 54-hole tournament. Pfund opened the day with a four-under-par 68 before shooting an even-par 72 in round two for a 140 and a two-shot lead at the day's end.
 
Freshman Robbi Koors and senior Luke Weber each sit tied for seventh after 36 holes. Both carded a 150 with Koors shooting a first-round 76 and a second-round 74. Weber carded 75-75 for his 150 on day one.
 
Sophomore Sean Jones sits tied for 11th after two rounds. He tallied a 36-hole total of 151 and came back after a first-round 77 to shoot a second-round 74. Sophomore Preston Smith is tied for 19th place after he carded a 154 (78-76).
 
The Knights will look to capture their 11th MCC championship when they take to the course for the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
