INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head women's basketball coach Todd Bacon is proud to announce the third commitment for the 2010-11 edition of Knights women's basketball.

Erica Jiles, who recently completed a transfer from St. Joseph's College, will join the Knights next season.

"Erica has the potential to be an excellent player on both ends of the court," said Bacon. "She is a much-needed addition with the graduation of Molly Lauck and Kristin Houck. We are excited about what Erica can bring to our team for the next two years. We think she has just scratched the surface of her potential."

Jiles averaged 5.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game at SJC while shooting 46 percent from the field. She saw action in 50 games with 37 being starts and averaged 20.4 minutes per game.

A 2008 graduate of Cardinal Ritter High School, Jiles held the record for single-season and career rebounds as well as the school record for the shot put. She was a letter winner in both basketball and track and also holds the conference record in the shot put. She set that record while winning the conference championship.

She was a two-time All-City selection and earned All-West honors on two occasions.

Jiles is the third commitment for the 2010-11 Knights. Marian University is coming off a season that included a trip to its first-ever MCC Tournament championship game.
