INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head men's basketball coach John Grimes is proud to announce the first of a trio of commitments for the 2010-11 season.

Jake Stafford, who will graduate from Mt. Vernon High School, signed a letter of intent to compete at Marian University next season. Stafford, a 6-4 forward, averaged 10.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists last season for the Marauders. He helped lead Mt. Vernon to a 22-3 season and is one of four seniors to commit to play college basketball.

He is the first commitment for the 2010-11 season of Marian University men's basketball.
