SILVIS, Ill. - The 2010 Mid-Central College Conference champion Marian University men's golf team continued the 2010 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships on Wednesday as the Knights competed in the second round of the 72-hole tournament at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The Knights finished round two with the exact same score as round one (315) and sit in 25th after two days.
 
Senior Luke Weber shot the team's low round and is currently the team leader in the clubhouse. Weber has a two-day total of 155 (79-76) to lead the Knights.
 
Freshman Trey Pfund, the 2010 MCC Player of the Year, finished five-over-par on Tuesday, but struggled in round two on Wednesday. Pfund has a two-day total of 157 (76-81) and has day one's low round for the Knights.
 
Sophomore Sean Jones came back strong on day two after he carded a 12-over-par 83 on Tuesday. He was one shot off of Weber as he notched a 77 to bring his two-day total to 160.
 
Freshman and All-Conference team member Robbi Koors opened the tournament with a six-over-par 77, but struggled through the second round and earned an 84 to sit with a 161 through 36 holes. Sophomore Preston Smith carded an 83 in the opening round and turned in an 81 for a 164 after 36 holes.
 
The Knights look to climb the leaderboard as the third round takes place on Thursday in Silvis, Ill.
