INDIANAPOLIS - Five members of the 2010 NAIA Unaffiliated Conference champion Marian University women's golf team were named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2009-10 academic year.

Angela Gauck headlines a crop of student-athletes who have not only shown their ability on the golf course, but in the classroom as well. Gauck earned her second Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor after another outstanding season. Gauck was the 2010 UAC medalist and Player of the Year and led the Knights to their first-ever appearance at the national tournament. She finished fourth in the nation, which was her fourth straight top 10 finish at the NAIA national championships.
The Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete award is given to a student-athlete who has attained at least junior standing and has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
