INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University freshman men's golfer Trey Pfund was honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America as a GCAA NAIA PING All-North Region Team selection, the GCAA announced on June 3.

Pfund led the Knights to their 11th Mid-Central College Conference championship after earning individual medalist honors at the 2010 MCC Tournament. The Sellersburg, Ind., native earned NAIA All-America Third Team honors and was the MCC Golfer of the Year in 2010.

He is the fourth Knight to earn NAIA All-America honors and is the eighth player in the 21-year history of the program to earn MCC Tournament medalist honors.

Twenty-first year head coach John Shelton earned his 10th MCC Coach of the Year award as the Knights came from behind to win the program's 11th conference championship.
