INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian University volleyball team had to battle, but won its second straight match in a five-set thriller over Spring Arbor University, 25-22, 25-18, 23-25, 14-25, 15-9, at the Physical Education Center on Saturday afternoon.
 
Three senior Knights tallied double figures in attack as senior Sadie Dizney led the way with 12 kills, while seniors Carrie Sherman and Danielle Perry each added 10 kills. Sophomore Holly Wasmund and freshman Kacie Kelly notched 22 and 21 assists, respectively, to lead the Knights.
 
Junior Brittany Miller led three Knights in double figures in digs with 17 digs, while freshmen Becky Gramer and Katie Kaiser notched 12 and 11 digs, respectively. Sherman also added five solo blocks and one block assist in defense for the Knights.
 
MU takes on Huntington University in Huntington, Ind., on Wednesday night at the Merrillat Complex. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
