MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Marian University volleyball team won its eighth straight match in a come-from-behind, five-set thriller on Saturday afternoon in Mishawaka, Ind. The Knights defeated Bethel College, 21-25, 23-25, 31-29, 26-24, 15-9, to avenge an earlier defeat and move to .500 for the first time this season. MU is 14-14 overall and 9-5 in the Mid-Central College Conference.
 
Senior Sadie Dizney led a pair of Knights in double figures in kills with 18, while junior Kelsee Evans, the reigning MCC Player and Hitter of the Week, notched 10 kills.
 
Junior Brittany Miller led five Knights in double figures in defense with 22 digs, while freshman Katie Kaiser notched 17 digs. Freshman Becky Gramer and sophomore Jaymee Schambers each notched 12 digs, while sophomore Holly Wasmund tallied 11 digs.
 
Wasmund also notcched a season-high 50 assists for the Knights in the victory. Senior Carrie Sherman added eight kills and six blocks (two solo, four assists) for the Knights.
 
MU will play host to Grace College on Senior Night on Wednesday night at the Physical Education Center. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. and the three senior Knights will be honored prior to the match. LIVE STATISTICS will be available at www.muknights.com.
