KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Marian University senior volleyball player Danielle Perry was named a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the second time, the national office announced on Friday.
 
Perry, a senior marketing major from New Palestine, Ind., has been a key figure in the Knights' recent run of success during her career. In 2010, Perry had a career year in which she tallied 154 kills, 41 digs and had a career-high 22 blocks.
 
The Knights finished the 2010 season with a 15-17 overall record, but has won 75 matches during Perry's career.
 
The Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete award is given to a student-athlete who has achieved junior standing and has a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.5 or higher.
