GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Marian University women's track and field team finished ninth out of 11 teams at the DePauw Tiger Classic in Greencastle, Ind., this past Saturday.
Senior
Adrienne Shepherd led the Knights with a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:42.66.
Other top-10 performances on the track were turned in by junior
Laura Neumann, who placed sixth in the 5,000-meter run improving her time from last week to 23:18.07, and sophomore
Jaymee Schambers, who placed seventh in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.42. Freshman
Staci Roberts also placed 10
th in the mile with a time of 6:29.69.
In the field events freshman
Lauren Hacker led MU. Her height of 1.55m in the high jump was good enough to earn her fifth-place in the meet.
MU is back in action on Saturday as they travel to Upland, Ind., to compete in the Taylor University Invitational.
