RENESSELAER, Ind. - The Marian University women's track and field team competed at the Saint Joseph's College Gene and Rose Edmonds Invitational this past Saturday.
 
On the track, the Knights earned five first-place finishes in the meet. Sophomore Amy Walker earned herself the number one spot in the 400 meter dash in a time of 1:06.70, freshman Lauren Borchelt won the 800 in 2:34.48, senior Adrienne Shepherd won the 1,500 meter run in 5:31.68, and sophomore Jaymee Schambers won the 100 meter hurdles in 16.99.
 
The Knights also won the 4x400 meter relay as Schambers, Shepherd, Walker, and senior Megan Egenolf finished in a time of 4:23.84.
 
In the field events, the lone first-place finish came from freshman Jaci Bowman. Bowman won the pole vault with a height of 2.43 meters.
 
The Knights are back in action on Thursday as they travel to Charleston, Ill., for the EIU Big Blue Classic.
