MARION, Ind. - The Marian University women's track and field team traveled to Marion, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Little State meet where it managed a 15th place finish out of 17 participating teams.
Junior Rachel Kenney
had the highest placement of the day for the Knights, as she placed second in the high jump with a height of 1.60 meters. Freshman Lauren Hacker
also competed in the high jump for MU and finished with a height of 1.45 meters, which was good enough for a 13th-place finish.
In other field events, freshman Kassandra Sprinkle
placed ninth in the shot put with a hurl of 11.44 meters, and sophomore Whitley Emerson
placed 11th in the javelin at 28.98 meters.
On the track, senior Adrienne Shepherd
in the 1,500 meter run, with a time of 5:02.84, while Samantha Walsh
finished the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 13:07.63 for 14th place.
The Knights will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., on Friday evening to compete in the Rose-Hulman Twilight.
