MARION, Ind. - The Marian University women's track and field team traveled to Marion, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Little State meet where it managed a 15th place finish out of 17 participating teams.
Junior
Rachel Kenney had the highest placement of the day for the Knights, as she placed second in the high jump with a height of 1.60 meters. Freshman
Lauren Hacker also competed in the high jump for MU and finished with a height of 1.45 meters, which was good enough for a 13th-place finish.
In other field events, freshman
Kassandra Sprinkle placed ninth in the shot put with a hurl of 11.44 meters, and sophomore
Whitley Emerson placed 11th in the javelin at 28.98 meters.
On the track, senior
Adrienne Shepherd placed 11
th in the 1,500 meter run, with a time of 5:02.84, while
Samantha Walsh finished the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 13:07.63 for 14th place.
The Knights will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., on Friday evening to compete in the Rose-Hulman Twilight.
