INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian University volleyball team got back on track with a three-set victory over the University of Saint Francis (Ind.), 25-16, 25-14, 25-15, in the Knights' home opener at the Physical Education Center on Wednesday night.
 
The Knights improved to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the MCC, while USF dropped to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
 
Sophomore Becky Gramer led a balanced Knights' attack with nine kills and a .364 attack percentage, while junior Ashley Francis finished with eight kills and a .357 attack percentage. Senior Kelsee Evans and sophomore Morgan Merrill both went errorless as they each tallied seven kills and had a .500 attack percentage.
 
Sophomore Kacie Kelly notched a double-double as she tallied a match-high 38 assists and had 11 digs in defense. Sophomore Katie Kaiser finished with a match-high 16 digs in defense, while senior Brittany Miller added 12 kills.
 
The Knights will head to 15th-ranked Taylor University on Friday night at Odle Arena in Upland, Ind. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will be video-streamed LIVE at athletics.taylor.edu.
