MARION, Ind. - The Marian University volleyball team fell to 8-6 on the season in a four-set defeat at Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon, 22-25, 13-25, 25-19, 22-25.
 
The Knights are now 4-4 in the Mid-Central College Conference.
 
Junior Ashley Francis led the Knights' attack with 14 kills, while sophomore Becky Gramer tallied 12 kills and senior Kelsee Evans added 11 kills. Sophomore Karli Williamson led the Knights with 25 assists, while sophomore Kacie Kelly added 17 assists of her own.
 
Senior Brittany Miller reached a milestone on Saturday afternoon after she recorded 12 digs in the defeat. Miller became the all-time digs leader at Marian University as she needed just 11 to set the record. She has 1,455 career digs and 147 this season. She passed J'nai Lefevre who had the record of 1,454 career digs from 1997 through 2000. She also added eight kills for the Knights.
 
Junior Jaymee Schambers and sophomore Katie Kaiser each tallied 16 digs to lead the Knights, while Williamson added 15 digs and sophomore Jacklyn Dizney added 10 digs. Evans had three block assists and Kelly had two solo blocks in the defeat.
 
The Knights will play host to 13th-ranked Taylor University on Wednesday night at the Physical Education Center. LIVE STATISTICS will be available at www.muknights.com.
