INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian University volleyball team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end on Senior Day at the Physical Education Center as the Knights fell to No. 20-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University, 25-15, 25-12, 25-18.
 
The Knights fell to 16-9 overall and 10-7 in the Mid-Central College Conference, while IWU improved to 24-4 overall and 13-2 in the MCC.
 
Junior Ashley Francis led a Knights attack that hit just .143 on the afternoon with a team-high seven kills. Seniors Kelsee Evans and Brittany Miller added five kills on the day when the duo was honored for their four years at Marian University. Sophomore Becky Gramer added four kills in the defeat.
 
Sophomore Kacie Kelly notched a double-double after she tallied 24 assists and 11 digs. Junior Jaymee Schambers and sophomore Karli Williamson each added 10 digs for the Knights in defense.
 
MU will close out the 2011 MCC regular season when they head to Winona Lake, Ind., for a matchup with Grace College on Wednesday. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
