WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The Marian University volleyball team dropped its final match of the 2011 Mid-Central College Conference regular season, 20-25, 24-26, 25-23, 19-25, at Grace College, which is receiving votes in the national poll, in Winona Lake, Ind., on Wednesday night.
 
The Knights fell to 16-10 overall and 10-8 in the MCC, while Grace improved to 25-9 overall and 13-4 in conference play. The Knights finish the regular season in fourth place in the MCC and will host a first round match on Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m.
 
Senior Brittany Miller led the Knights in defeat with a double-double. She finished with a team-high 12 kills and tallied 12 digs in defense. Junior Ashley Francis notched 10 kills and had two block assists, while senior Kelsee Evans also added six kills.
 
Sophomore Kacie Kelly also tallied a double-double after she finished with 32 assists and 10 digs. She also added two solo blocks in defense. Junior Jaymee Schambers led the defense with a match-high 19 digs.
 
MU will find out its opponent when the regular season concludes on November 4. However, the Knights will host the No. 5 seed on Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m. at the Physical Education Center.
