TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Marian University women's track and field squad turned in a sixth-place finish in the first scored meet of the 2012 indoor season at the Engineer Invitational on Saturday.
Sophomore Lauren Borchelt
led the Knights with a pair of third-place finishes. Borchelt finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.31 before earning a third-place finish in the mile run with a time of 5:19.52.
Junior Jaymee Schambers
turned in a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. She finished with a time of 9.96 seconds, but qualified in the same position with a time of 9.87. Sophomore Kassandra Sprinkle
earned a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.86 meters to round out the scoring for the Knights.
MU will head to DePauw University on Saturday for the Tiger Small College Invitational in Greencastle, Ind.
