TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Marian University men's track and field squad turned in a fifth-place finish at the 2012 Engineer Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Junior
Emile Conde led the way for the Knights with a runner-up finish in the triple jump. Conde turned in a leap of 12.48 meters to finish second. In the long jump, Conde turned in a sixth-place finish with a leap of 6.17 meters to lead the Knights.
Junior
Taylor Maxey earned a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. After qualifying with a time of 8.40 seconds, Maxey turned in an 8.28 to be one of three athletes to break the RHIT record of 8.29 seconds.
Sophomore
Chris O'Connor turned in a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.80 meters, while junior
Keith Pavlish turned in a seventh-place finish in the pole vault with a 4.30 meter jump.
Junior
Stephen Speer finished in eighth place in the shot put with a throw of 13.15 meters, while senior
Tim Hendricks earned a sixth-place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 14.35 meters. Speer finished in seventh place in the weight throw with a toss of 14.10 meters.
Junior
Clifford Brown turned in an eighth-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.22 seconds after qualifying with a 7.27.
The Knights will head to Greencastle, Ind., for the DePauw University Tiger Small College Classic on Saturday afternoon.
