INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian College women's cross country team closed out its 2007 campaign with a 10th-place finish at the NAIA Region VIII Championship on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Knights were led by senior Erica Baechle (Oldenburg, Indiana/Oldenburg Academy) after she finished in 46th place with a time of 20:06. Senior Jessica VanVleet (Franklin, Indiana/Franklin) finished close behind in 49th place with a time of 20:15.

Freshman Adrienne Shepherd (Kokomo, Indiana/Kokomo) earned a 57th-place finish with a time of 20:24 while senior Julia Konopasek (Munster, Indiana/Munster) finished in 67th with a time of 20:48.

Junior Sarah Fowler (Dayton, Ohio/Chaminade Julienne) finished in 73rd (21:19), senior Molly Till (New Haven, Indiana/Bishop Luers) finished in 77th (21:26), sophomore Jill Kuntz (Batesville, Indiana/Oldenburg Academy) finished in 81st (21:58), and junior Amanda Frey (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oldenburg Academy) finished with a time of 22:23 to round out the Knight lineup.
