INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian University volleyball team earned its third straight victory in Crossroads League play after the Knights defeated Goshen College, 25-21, 25-23, 25-23, in the 2012 home opener at the Physical Education Center on Saturday afternoon.
MU improved to 4-3 overall and 3-0 in the Crossroads League, while Goshen dropped to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in league play.

Senior Ashley Francis led the way for the Knights on offense in a match that went back-and-forth throughout the three sets. Francis tallied a match-high 12 kills and had an unbelievable .611 attack percentage. She also added two block assists in defense.

Sophomore Megen Ruff just missed a double-double after she tallied nine kills and notched 12 digs in defense. Junior Morgan Merrill added eight kills and three block assists, while sophomore Donala Arnold added six kills. Junior Kacie Kelly tallied a match-high 35 assists and added four kills.

Senior Jaymee Singleton led the MU defense with 19 digs, while junior Katie Kaiser added 16 digs.

MU will play host to Hanover College on Monday night at the Physical Education Center. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will feature LIVE VIDEO and LIVE STATS at www.muknights.com.
