INDIANAPOLIS - For the second consecutive week, junior setter Kacie Kelly was named the Crossroads League Setter of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Kelly, a Franklin, Ind., native, earned the honor last week after leading the Knights to a 3-0 record. This week, Kelly led the Knights to a 3-1 mark that included a four-set win over Mount Vernon Nazarene and a five-set defeat to No. 18-ranked Taylor University.

She tallied 160 total assists in leading MU to the 3-1 week and has notched 282 assists in the last seven matches. Not only did she get it done on the offensive end, she was also a key figure in defense for MU. Kelly also notched double-digits in digs in all four matches last week and tallied 18 digs twice during the week.

In MU's sweep of Hanover, Kelly had 31 assists, six kills and 11 digs. She added to those totals in a five-set road win at Saint Francis (Ind.) when she had 44 assists, four kills, 18 digs and two block assists. In MU's five-set defeat to Taylor, Kelly tallied 42 assists, three kills and had 10 digs. She also added one solo block and two block assists. In the four-set win over MVNU on Saturday, Kelly had 43 assists, six kills, 18 digs and two block assists.

For the week, she averaged 9.4 assists per set, 40 assists per match and 3.4 digs per set.

It is the first time MU has had back-to-back honors in volleyball and is the first multiple winner since Kelsee Evans won hitter and player of the week on Oct. 17, 2011.

The Knights will head to Grace College, which is receiving votes in the NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, on Wednesday night. First serve from Winona Lake, Ind., will be at 7 p.m.
