WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The Marian University volleyball team suffered just its second defeat in its last eight matches on Wednesday night at Grace College. The Lancers, who are receiving votes in the NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Poll, defeated the Knights, 25-19, 25-17, 25-19, in Winona Lake, Ind.

The Knights fell to 7-5 on the season and 5-2 in Crossroads League play, while Grace improved to 10-4 overall and 5-1 in the league.

Junior Becky Gramer led the Knights in attack with 10 kills, and she also had eight digs and one solo block. Sophomore Megen Ruff added eight kills and four digs, while junior Kacie Kelly, the two-time reigning Crossroads League Setter of the Week, had 25 assists. Kelly also added seven digs in defense.

Senior Jaymee Singleton led the defense with 20 digs, while junior Katie Kaiser added 10 digs for the Knights.

MU will play host to Huntington University on Friday night at the Physical Education Center. First serve is at 7 p.m. and the match will be video-streamed LIVE on the Knights Athletics Network at www.muknights.com.
